12 years ago Marek Glogowski left Poland to come to the UK to look for a new career. He had been a vehicle technician in his homeland working on brands such as Skoda, Hyundai and Bosch. He settled in Aberdeen and initially worked on Renault cars before landing a job in the oil and gas industry working as an engineer on the rigs and platforms.

With the crash in the oil prices the industry shrank and, along with many others, Marek was made redundant. Aberdeen became a less attractive proposition so Marek moved to England and settled in the Bilston area where he now lives with his partner and their baby daughter.

After a period working as a technician for an independent Peugeot garage, Marek has now started as a technician with Greenhous VW Commercials in Bilston. He joins the service team at the busy dealership just off the Black Country Route.

Marek enjoyed the Scottish countryside spending a lot of his spare time hill- walking. He enjoys travelling around the UK and finding out about its history. He has now started a new hobby in photography which will fit in well with his exploration of the local area and further afield.
