The Expo featured vehicles from all market areas that Stanford Coachworks supplies vans to, including ambulances, wheelchair accessible vehicles, luxury mini coaches and their latest range of leisure vehicles. Burnt Tree also featured at the Expo, whose Head Office is just half a mile from the Greenhous Volkswagen Commercials branch in Shrewsbury. The company has been using Stanford Coachworks for a number of years and is one of the largest commercial fleet operators in the UK.
Phil Demicoli, area fleet sales manager at Greenhous based in Bilston, Wolverhampton, said “I have been dealing with Stanford Coachworks for the past eight years and continued working with them when I began at Greenhous just under three years ago.
“Greenhous have also worked with Burnt Tree for some time now so it was great to see another company local to Shrewsbury down at the event alongside us. We not only support Burnt Tree with fleet and demonstrator vehicles, but also carry out pre-delivery inspections as well as providing up to date Volkswagen information and quotes.”
Phil continued by talking about the relationship between Greenhous and Stanford Coachworks and the event last month. “We supply the company with around 30-50 vehicles a year and jumped at the chance when they asked if we could loan them some vehicles for the event. We took down our quality VW Caravelle MPV demo as well as a couple of our 17-seat wheel chair accessible vehicles converted by Stanford Coachworks.”
Stanford Coach Works based in Essex are a VW Accredited converter and have an established reputation for high quality, custom-built minibuses and conversions. Combining traditional skills with the latest developments in bus technology, the company converts vehicles specifically to suit the individual’s needs.
Phil continued “We have a great working relationship with Stanford’s that has hugely improved the services that both companies have to offer. We supply them with quality Volkswagen Commercial chassis that then get converted to the requirements of the client. These vehicles are not just exclusive to Stanford’s client base, but their conversion services are also used on our vans, offering Greenhous customers a bespoke product.
“The open day was a great success for everyone involved. There was a huge array of vehicles on display as well as the chance for attendees to experience the thrill of being driven around Brands Hatch race circuit by triple championship winner – Paul Rivett.”
Jess Rider joint managing director at Stanford Coachworks, said “The vehicle expo is something we have thought about doing for many years and we were delighted when we knew Greenhous were going to be involved. The relationship we have with the company is extremely important to us.”
Jess concluded “Not only are they reliable in supplying quality vehicles, but we also get a level of service that we don’t get anywhere else. Once each vehicle has changed hands, we still know that Greenhous are there for all of our service and maintenance needs which ensures real peace of mind. We hope to continue working with Greenhous long into the future.”
