Greenhous VW Win Regional Team Challege
Staff from Volkswagen Shrewsbury recently enjoyed success in a ‘Volkswagen Commercials Prospecting Event’ by winning both the regional team award and the aftersales manager award.

 The Greenhous team in Shrewsbury were set the challenge by their regional manager earlier in the year and came out on top above 20 other van centres in the area. They were also the only centre in the country to win both awards for the event.

Greenhous Volkswagen were asked to organise the aftersales ‘prospecting’ evening earlier in the year. Staff devised numerous exclusive offers which were then targeted at customers who were normally unable to receive calls during the day. The evening was attended by regional manager Paul Meadows, who judged the winners based on results he witnessed, performance, rapport and fun.

Approximately 70 calls were made throughout the evening by Howard Rowlands, Richard Haigh, Paul Radley, Brendan Coles and Simon Griffin. Many ‘on the night’ deals were offered such as ‘free parts and accessories’ and ‘buy three tyres, get fourth free.

Howard Rowlands, Aftermarket Manager, said “The atmosphere was terrific on the night and everyone involved really did put 100% effort in to ensure it was a success. We took a substantial amount of bookings including five MOT’s, six confirmed service bookings, cam belt replacements, brake fluid changes, Air Con services and many more.

“Adding further to our success, customers who we spoke to that evening have been in since to take full advantage of offers, accessories and the free vehicle health check which proved to be very popular. We estimate that approximately 35 hours worth of work was booked in from one evening alone.”

After the event, the VW team were then notified by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK that they had in fact won the regional team and aftersales manager awards and a £500 reward was shared equally between them .

Howard concluded “All in all it was a very successful night! Customers were offered fantastic exclusive deals and by calling outside of working hours, we were able to target those that we wouldn’t normally get to speak to. Not only did we take a huge amount of bookings, but winning the regional challenge was a great achievement that the team involved thoroughly deserved.”
