In Shrewsbury the team at VW were treated to some home-made bacon baps for breakfast and then a host of cakes were on sale throughout the day. Fran James, Site Operations Manager for Greenhous VW, said: “With the help of a ‘George Foreman’ grill the smell of bacon was soon in the air and we sold bacon baps to our staff and also to those at a nearby car repair business. At £1 a time they were soon disappearing! The cakes were on sale for anyone who came into the dealership and the customers fully participated helping to make our total raised £81.00.”
The staff at VW Commercials were kitted out in home-made ‘Pudsey Bear’ t-shirts. Meanwhile in Newtown, the staff at Greenhous Ford dressed up on the day and also had a cake sale raising £55.89. Across the year a large number of charities are supported by individual Greenhous staff or groups once again showing the community spirit that burns strong within the company.
