At the Business Van of the Year Awards, sponsored by Low Cost Vans, Volkswagen walked off with no fewer than six awards – The Caddy was voted Best Local Delivery Van, The Amarok picked up two awards - Best Utility Pick-Up and Best 4×4 Double Cab and the Transporter took the Best Crew Van award. Volkswagen also scooped the Best Finance Package for Van Owners and Best Service Package for Van Owners.
These are such important areas particularly for fleet management. Winning the Best Crew Van category was the Volkswagen Transporter variant, the Kombi. It is a six seat crew van with side windows for the rear passengers. It can still carry a substantial load in the rear. The Kombi is attractive as a tax-efficient dual use vehicle – a working van that can also be used for the family outside work hours with ample space for the family members and lots of luggage. The Amarok took two firsts at this year’s awards - Best Utility Pick-Up and Best 4×4 Double Cab. The Amarok is designed for use either as either a workhorse or a lifestyle vehicle. They are available in the three trim levels available – Startline, Trendline and Highline and limited editions. Most owners use the Amarok for work and pleasure. The Amarok is the best double-cab because of the quality, durability and low overall running costs. In the pick-up market the Amarok offers a robust workhorse which offers customers a range of high level of specification and luxury. The Highline version is the top level variant.
